This page outlines all of the safeguarding and child protection policies in place at Flip The Script, relating to all of our work with Young People.
Our Artistic Director/CEO also acts as our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
As we are a company founded by young people for young people, safeguarding and child protection is at the forefront of what we do.
At Flip The Script, we view the responsibility of safeguarding as everyone's responsibility irrespective of their role within the company. Our audiences and young people should feel free to approach us with any concerns and should be made aware that the policies and procedures are in place to ensure that all of our participants are protected when working with us.
Nothing is more important to us that the protection and welfare of the children and young people we engage with through our creative work. Children who are in need deserve high-quality, effective, and tailored support as soon as a need is identified.
This policy has been developed to ensure that all staff and volunteers at Flip The Script are working together in an effective way to promote the welfare of children and young people and to ensure their safety when working with us.
Everyone that comes into contact with children and young people has a part to play and safeguarding children and young people is everyone’s responsibility regardless of rank and role.
The Artistic Director/CEO holds ultimate responsibility for the safeguarding of children and young people who engage with the company and responsibility for promoting a safe working environment and advocating for the welfare and safety of children and young people.
This, also, forms a major part of our core values.
